The Artist Collective of Tomorrow

Bringing the Possibility of Art & Music to the Central Florida Community

History

In 2019, the nonprofit Mudita was established in Japan to share diverse art from around the world with Japanese youth in the most accessible way--through the idea of “empathy.” In 2022, the American branch--Mudita America-- was founded and aims to expand Mudita’s shared vision of spreading empathetic connections through arts collaboration. In 2025, Mudita America was nominated as the Best Chamber Music Group for Orlando Weekly’s Best of Orlando.

Union - cross-genre collaborative performance

Mudita Artists from 4 different cultures bring together their unique artistic roots to perform traditional music and collaborate in exploring a blending of worlds through group improvisation.
Tanuja Krishna, an Indian classical singer and dancer; Marcinko Orozco, an American electronic artist and keyboardist; Eric Rokni, a Persian Santur player and cellist; and Ryo Hasegawa, a Japanese Shakuhachi player will work together to portray the transformative story of cultural union through this quasi-improv style performance. Before the concert, each artist will share more about their culture and process leading up to the show! The performance will take place at the Community Center 729 (729 Thornton Ave, Orlando FL)

Songwriters in the Round with Mudita Collective Orchestra

Mudita and Song Stringer present the fourth installment of our collaborative concert series, Songwriters in the Round with the Mudita Collective Orchestra at Timucua Arts Foundation (2000 S Summerlin Ave).

This concert will feature the original music of Central Florida songwriters Hannah
Harber Wynn, Patrick Hagerman, and Hannah Stokes in a songwriters round format
accompanied by the Mudita Collective Orchestra. They will perform bespoke arrangements by
local composers that will combine elements of Americana, Folk, Country, Blues, and
Orchestral music. The concert will also feature standard orchestra repertoire arranged
specifically for the Mudita Orchestra. Together, this concert aims to make orchestral
music more accessible while championing the voices of local songwriters.

Tickets are available now at timucua.com.
