Join us for our second collaboration with SongStringer: An exciting night of upcoming local songwriters bolstered by Mudita's community orchestra and arrangers
As part of the announcement of our official 501 (c)3 status, we are excited to host "mudita america: annual supporters summit," where we will be discussing our vision for the future, have members of our collective perform, and get to chat with members of the community (YOU!!). The second concert in our yearly series UNION, where musician from different cultures bring together their unique artistics roots to perform traditional music and explore these elements through group improvisation. This year's performers include Tanuja Krishna, Marcinko Orozco, Eric Rokni, and Ryo Hasegawa, and will include a pre-concert discussion about their musical upbringings and how they engage in the world through their music. The concert is on Saturday, September 14, with the talk starting at 7:30pm, and the show at 8:00pm. It is located at Community Center 729, at 729 Thornton Avenue Orlando, FL 32803. Join us for an unique evening of cross-cultural collaboration featuring music and dance of multiple cultures! Mudita America brings four prominent artists of today to Orlando who will each bring their unique artistic practice for this merger. Marin Naruse: a Japanese traditional singer and Sanshin player (uta-sha) from Amami Oshima Island, Japan; Eric Rokni: a cellist of Jewish and Persian upbringing; Tanuja Krishna: Indian Classical dancer; and Marcinko Orozco, a hip-hip influenced keyboard player. Their work on this project will showcase an extraordinary story of oppression and unification.

Two public performances featuring composers from 14 different countries/regions performed by the pianist, Ramilya Saubanova and the guitarist, Joseph Ehrenpreis. Joined by several composers through the video presentations during the performances.

Southeast Asia’s leading new music ensemble makes their first American tour to collaborate with the artists and musicians in the U.S. Tacet(i) and Mudita curate the program in a collaboration with composers from the Peabody Conservatory and artists from Mudita America. Two public performances in Baltimore, MD and New York City, NY performed by the Tacet(i) Ensemble and additional players from the Peabody Conservatory and Mudita America Inc.
